UNESCO World Heritage sites are some of the world’s impressive places and many tourists have at least one or two on their travel bucket list. From the Great Wall of China to Egypt’s Pyramids, the list is packed with incredible marvels.

Each year, the UNESCO team give several new landmarks heritage status. In 2023, spots from all over the globe joined the list.

While UNESCO status can give a site more protection and boost the tourism industry, it can also be a blessing in disguise. UNESCO sites such as Venice have struggled to cope with overtourism.

Despite this, UNESCO sites are often some of the world’s most beautiful places and the new additions definitely live up to the billing.

Have you visited any of these UNESCO sites?
