Piccadily Agro Industries Limited launched Indri Agneya, a lightly peated single malt whisky, marking the company’s entry into the peated whisky segment. The company announced plans to sell 1,00,000 cases over the next three years.
Priced at ₹3,800, Indri Agneya is currently available in Haryana and will expand to premium retail outlets across India, global travel retail and select international markets in coming months. The whisky is matured in American oak casks after aging in both Sherry and Bourbon casks.
The name “Agneya” derives from Sanskrit meaning “belonging to fire.” The product uses indigenous six-row barley that is kilned over peat smoke, creating what the company describes as a lighter alternative to traditional Islay malts. Master Blender Surrinder Kumar said the whisky aims to explore “untapped space between the familiar and the unexpected.”
Piccadily operates from a 168-acre facility in Indri, Haryana, producing malt spirits, ethanol and sugar. The company launched its flagship Indri single malt brand in 2022 and claims to be India’s fastest-growing single malt whisky brand as of 2024.
The launch represents Piccadily’s strategy to position Indian single malts on the global stage and expand its premium spirits portfolio, which also includes Camikara rum and various blended malt whisky brands.
The shares of Piccadily Agro Industries Limited ended on the NSE at ₹617.70 up by ₹10.40 or 1.71 per cent.
